10 kW single output ­enclosed type power supply

Mean Well’s high power enclosed type AC/DC switching power supplies have been capturing market attention for some time. After the RST-5000 series (single unit with up to 5000 W), the company has now unveiled the RST-10000, the first model to push the output power up to 10 kW in a single unit, with 20 kW achievable from 2 units using the parallel function.

RST-10000 adopts 3-phase AC input and in addition to the nominal output voltages, 24/36/48 VDC for the three different standard models, the output voltage and current can be adjusted via external DC voltage control. With complete protection functions and international safety approvals, RST-10000 is highly anticipated to become a popular model of high wattage power supply. Applications include those in need of high operating power, such as automation equipment and machinery, industrial control systems, large scale charging systems, laser cutting machines, cloud storage systems and telecommunications.

Features

• Three-phase AC input.

• Built-in active PFC function.

• High efficiency up to 91%.

• Vo can be trimmed between 20-120% of the rated voltage by a 1-6 VDC external control signal. Io can be trimmed between 20-100% of the rated current by a 1-5 VDC external control signal.

• Forced air cooling by built-in fan with speed control function.

• Built-in remote On/Off control and remote sense function.

• Built-in 12 V/0.1 A auxiliary output for remote control.

• Alarm signal output: AC fail, DC OK, fan fail, over temperature protection.

• Protection: overload (continuous constant current limiting mode or constant current limiting with delay shutdown after 5 seconds), short circuit, over voltage, over temperature.

• Approvals: UL, CUL, TUV, CB and CE.
