Telco overcomes challenges in the pulp and paper industry

May 2014 Sensors & Transducers

The pulp and paper industry poses a major problem for most photoelectric sensors as the highly contaminated (dusty, dirty and grimy) environments make it impossible for many sensors to operate and sense reliably and efficiently. This is a problem that Telco Sensors overcomes with its powerful and high performance photoelectric sensors, ensuring penetration of the thick and harsh pollution whilst guaranteeing reliable detection. With attachable fibre optic cables, Telco Sensors can operate in a temperature range up to 300°C and also withstand the high humidity typically found in pulp and paper manufacturing. This has made Telco’s optical sensors a globally soughtafter solution for monitoring, measuring, positioning and sheet-break detection in these demanding industries.
