Saltek’s FLP-B+C MAXI VS/3+1 is a pluggable, three-phase and neutral combined Class 1 and Class 2 lightning current arrester. It is a combination of heavy duty gas discharge tubes (GDT) rated at 25 kA (10/350 s pulse) with a high energy varistor for installation in LV distributions at the boundary of LPZ 0A–LPZ 1 zones and higher. This combination ensures very low leakage current (A range) and very low residual voltage. The unit also ensures energy co-ordination with downstream Class 3 arresters. The highly efficient and pluggable module prevents overvoltage effects induced during direct or indirect lightning strikes.
Providing a high level of surge protection in an affordable package, FLP-B+C MAXI VS/3+1 is suitable for all applications from industrial to residential houses where there is a risk of direct lightning damage. With a lightning current discharge capacity up to 100 kA (10/350 μs), the module provides visual fault and remote status signalling. It has a 100 ns response time, a 1,5 kV protection level and meets IP20 protection requirements.
