IDX presents HMS communication technology

October 2013 News

Industrial Data Exchange (IDX) is the local distributor for Swedish industrial communications company, HMS, and recently hosted two HMS representatives, channel partner manager, Kristina Johansson and application engineer, Agnieszka Burkiewicz. Along with IDX, they were available at various presentations and functions, including Rockwell’s Automation University, to provide clients with insight into how HMS communication technology can be applied across a broad range of industries.

HMS’s patented Anybus technology is a broad range of intelligent fieldbus and industrial network connectivity products and solutions. These have the ability to connect devices to any major network protocol and enable interconnection between industrial networks such as Profibus, DeviceNet and Ethernet/IP. They allow for quick and secure transfer of information within demanding applications in industries such as manufacturing, process, transport, infrastructure, power and energy.

The HMS Netbiter range is a modern M2M communication technology enabling remote data access and offering a complete remote management solution. It allows the user to monitor Modbus enabled devices remotely. With the Netbiter IO Extender packs, it is possible to monitor any digital or analog data remotely though the Argos portal.

Some local applications include water treatment, methane monitoring underground, converting scale values to Profibus on a conveyor belt on a copper mine in Zambia and safety pull key systems for conveyor belts.
