Comitronic-BTI has expanded its machine safety switch range with the latest version of its Massimotto switch: a tamper-proof, contactless, coded magnetic safety switch with an integrated M12 connector. The switch is rated Category 3 or 4 under the EN 954-1 standard and offers enhanced, effective machine protection.
Comitronic says the Massimotto device is based on an innovative technological concept and constitutes an easy to use replacement for mechanical locking systems. With the increase in machine sophistication and automation, repair cost and down time can be extremely expensive. The Massimotto switch is fitted with the Actom system, which is a fully electronic, tamper-proof, magnet based decoding system specifically designed to protect dangerous machines. The Actom process complies with UL/CSA standards and is TÜV certified.
There are two models in the range, a standalone switch, rated Category 3 under EN954-1 that operates without a safety module and a non-autonomous switch, rated category 4, which must be combined with the Awax safety module. Another important feature is the inclusion of a LED indicator on the switch to provide visual indication of the switch state.
