After the launch of low output voltage and high current rating LED power supplies of the HLG-40H~320H series, Mean Well has introduced the new 90 W high output voltage and low current rating LED driver, the HLG-80H-C series. Possessing 350 or 700 mA rated constant current output, the series is suitable for LED lighting fixtures that require to connect numerous LEDs in a strip to a high voltage supply. With a wide input range of 90–305 VAC, these supplies are not only fit for general 115 VAC or 230 VAC mains input, but can also be operated from 277 VAC input in North America. To eliminate the influences of dust and moisture in harsh environments, this new series is fully potted (IP65/67 structure) and enclosed in an aluminium case.
With constant voltage (CV) plus constant current (CC) design, HLG-80H-C series has built-in two stage active PFC and complies with harmonic current limitation per EN61000-3-2 Class C. Using up-to-date high efficiency topology, the supplies possess efficiency up to 92% and are cooled by free air convection from -40 to 70°C ambient temperatures. Besides standard protection for short circuit, over voltage, and over temperature, these power units also provide a selection of dimming options. All units comply with global certificates per UL/CUL/ TUV/ CB/CE, including UL8750, EN61347-1, EN61347-2-13 for lighting regulations. Suitable applications include LED street lighting, LED tunnel lighting, LED spot lighting, LED decorative lighting and other indoor/outdoor LED related functions.
