FSG has launched a new angular position transducer that is suitable for use in safety-oriented applications up to SIL 2. Featuring redundant evaluation electronics, the units are delivered with two CANopen interfaces: two 4...20 mA interfaces or one CANopen and one current interface each. An additional display on the housing allows users to read out the angle position directly on location, so no additional electronics are required. A robust, seawater-proof cast housing ensures IP68 protection for the angle sensors, which can be used under extreme environmental conditions, for example in mobile machines or on ships.
