Temperature Measurement

Where simplicity meets reliability

July 2025 Temperature Measurement

The new iTEMP TMT31 mA temperature transmitter from Endress+Hauser combines simplified selection, ordering, installation and operation with the highest reliability and long-term stability in one product. It is tailored for customers across diverse industries who need an easy-to-use, reliable temperature measurement solution. Designed with simplicity and efficiency in mind, the iTEMP TMT31 enables effortless selection, ordering, installation and operation. This single-channel transmitter offers 4-20 mA output and ensures high reliability and long-term stability, making it an ideal choice for all modular thermometers with a form B connection head or for DIN rail mounting within control cabinets.

The transmitter offers versatility for various application requirements. Versions are available that are compatible with either Pt100 and Pt1000 RTD sensors or a wide range of thermocouples. The iTEMP TMT31 also features diagnostic functions for enhanced operational insight. Furthermore, the transmitter can be parameterised on site using free operating software such as DeviceCare from Endress+Hauser, or it is pre-programmed at the factory and ready for immediate use.

Customer benefits include:

• Quick and tool-free installation: The push-in terminals make wiring fast and easy, simplifying both initial setup and ongoing maintenance.

• Enhanced accuracy: Through sensor-transmitter matching using Callendar van Dusen linearisation, the measuring point achieves a high degree of measurement accuracy.

• Advanced diagnostics: The transmitter provides diagnostic information in accordance with NAMUR NE107, supporting proactive maintenance and operational insight.

• Increased safety: With Ex approvals, the TMT31 ensures increased safety in hazardous environments.
