Getting your OT data into the cloud – the why and the how
April 2025
SAIMC
As industrial plant and system operators recognise the advantages of a digital transformation strategy and begin implementing it, they quickly encounter the difficulty of securely and reliably transferring their operational technology (OT) data to their preferred cloud service provider. This raises important questions that need addressing:
• What are the specific goals of my digital strategy?
• What factors should I consider when choosing a cloud service provider?
• Which communication protocol is most suitable for my needs?
• Is a hardware or software gateway the better solution for my objectives?
These questions will be answered at the next KS4I event to be held on Wednesday, 23 April 2025 from 11:00 to 13:00 at Adroit Technologies.
The address is 20 Waterford Office Park, corner Witkoppen Rd and Waterford Drive, Fourways.
The presenters will be Dave Wibberley, director, Adroit Technologies; Hugo Pienaar, director, Digital Services, Adroit Technologies; and Regardt Voigt, Mitsubishi Electric training officer, Adroit Technologies.
