Sensear appoints Extech Safety Systems as authorised distributor in sub-Saharan Africa

July 2019 News

Extech has partnered with Sensear to distribute its products in sub-Saharan Africa.

Sensear is a global leader in digital communication and active listening headsets and earplugs for use in high noise and hazardous environments. The patented SENSTM technology simultaneously enhances speech, and suppresses background noise so that users can verbally communicate, protect their hearing, and still maintain 360-degree awareness of their surroundings in noisy environments such as oil and gas, mining, construction, heavy manufacturing and other industrial workplaces.

For almost 30 years, South African-based Extech has been providing instrumentation, especially intrinsic safety, for hazardous area operations in southern Africa. “Extech Safety Systems is proud to announce that it is now an authorised reseller for Sensear,” said Extech sales director, Gary Friend. “The products complement our hazardous area smartphones and tablets, offering a comprehensive range of solutions for industrial applications.”

As sole agents for MTL, Beka Associates, Extronics, MercuryHMI and authorised reseller for AEGEx, CorDEX, i.safe Mobile and XPlore Technologies in southern Africa, the following are some of the areas where Extech Safety Systems can assist customers: IS Zener barriers and galvanic isolators. HART Interfaces, fieldbus, industrial Ethernet, industrial security, wireless networks, visualisation, IS and flameproof cameras, rugged IS smartphones and tablets, hazardous area Exd access points for Zone 1, hazardous Area CCTV camera for Group I and II, hazardous area barcode scanners, RFID tracking, surge protection, process alarm equipment and hazardous area access control systems.
