March 2008 SAIMC

The first SAIMC branch activity for 2008 would have been a branch social where a group of us were going to make a site visit to the Alrode Brewery on 18 January 2008. Unfortunately, Anton Erasmus, trade brewer at Alrode and our tour leader, took ill and SAB cancelled the visit as there was no replacement to stand in for him. We then re-scheduled the visit to 1 August 2008.

The JHG Branch AGM took place on 13 February 2008. The branch newsletter issued in March carries all the details of the AGM, the 2008/2009 branch committee and the visit. Watch our newsletters for future site visits being planned and respond quickly if you want to make the list. Please note that the Johannesburg Branch will host the Annual General Meeting of the SAIMC Council on 12 March 2008 at Rivonia Recreation Club and urge all members to attend.
