Event calendar
Tony is organising the events - and if there is a supplier interested in a specific date to present a topic he can be contacted. Remember everything is happening in our area. We also plan four site visits for the year and Dennis is organising them. (Annual events include 26 May - Golf Day, 11 November - YEF, 20 January 2005 - AGM).
We have a few objectives for this year and our first priority will be to become more involved and play an active role in our tertiary institutions.
Our first technology evening was a massive success where Valve & Automation did a presentation on safety devices. They also explained the SIL concept that was very interesting. Afterwards everybody enjoyed the snacks put on the table by our new chef.
The Secunda branch has decided to assist its members to pay their subs and will run a debit order system for persons who want to make use of the facility. Please contact our treasurer for assistance in the matter. Remember, only paid up members will be able to utilise the full benefits on the new website. As a branch member you will also have additional benefits at our events.
Piet van Rensburg, chairman
