Valve connectors with snap-in connectors speed up cabling

March 2003 Valves, Actuators & Pump Control

Actuator cables with individual cable lengths can now be prepared quickly and cheaply with the new SACC-VQ valve connector using the Quickon snap-in connection technique from Phoenix Contact - without stripping the insulation, or the need for threaded or soldered connections. The times for wiring can thereby be reduced by as much as 60%. Both PVC as well as PE-insulated single wires with a cross-section ranging from 0,75 to 1,5 mm2 may be used. These connectors meet the requirements for the protection class of IP65.

Initially valve connectors of design A in accordance with DIN 43650 with a clearance between contacts of 18 mm are available. Variants with differing types of protective circuit, and with LED and varistor for the various voltage levels, as well as a non-protection version are available. These connectors offer a simple and reliable connection particularly suitable for electrical components and especially for solenoid-operated valves.
