The Inline Controller CPU from Phoenix Contact is a new kind of modular compact controller, enabling the controller intelligence to be integrated into the Interbus Inline station. The ILC 200 UNI Inline Controller is installed directly into the distributed I/O station.
This compact controller can be programmed in the five IEC 61131 languages and controls the modular Inline installation system on a 'decentralised' and independent basis. It is installed underneath an Inline bus connector for Interbus, Profibus-DP, DeviceNet, Ethernet or CANopen systems and enables the simple exchange of data with super and sub-imposed controls. This makes it independent of the superimposed fieldbus system. Integrated inputs and outputs enable short reaction times on site.
Using the controller enables the construction of pre-tested mechanical and electrical units, which can be combined as a modular system into a complete solution. The combination of tested functional units from mechanical and electrical systems, I/O peripheral devices and control programs means planning, installation and commissioning times can be cut considerably.
The PC WORX automation software enables universal configuration and programming - optionally via Interbus, Ethernet or the local RS232 interface.
