Ultrasonic level transmitter measures up to 60m for dusty solids

The Sumpi LR is capable of measuring dusty solids up to a range of 60 m. It also has five fully programmable relay/alarm outputs, and an isolated 4 to 20 mA output. Two transducers may be connected to the same transmitter, to measure the level in two separate silos, or both transducers may be used in one silo to obtain and the average level obtained. The unit can also produce two separate 4-20 mA outputs, for the level in each silo. An averaged or differential level between the two silos can also be calculated and routed to one of the two 4-20 mA signal ports. A high/low selector can also be programmed to always produce a current loop signal correponding to the silo with the highest/lowest level.
The Sumpi LR has powerful discriminating software, to pick up true echoes in very dusty and noisy silos. A software package is also available where one can connect the transmitter to a laptop PC, and see the echo profile inside a silo. Diagnostics can then be run to show the activity inside a silo. This software also facilitates setting up of all the parameters, allowing them to be saved as a file for future use, or to e-mail to KAB for help on a specific application.
