The new switched-mode power supplies from IFM Electronic have a 24 V d.c. output voltage and are available in one-phase versions from 1 to 20 A and in three-phase versions from 5 to 40 A. Easy mounting and removal with no tools, as well as a tight fit on the DIN rail, are convenient features for the user. Shock and vibration resistance is guaranteed.
The power supplies meet the highest requirements of the EMC standards. They are therefore suitable for domestic and industrial applications. An extensive approval package covers EN60950, UL1950, UL508 as well as CUL/CSA-C22.2. CE certification, including the low voltage guideline. The wide input range of 340-576 V a.c., 47-63 Hz enables usage worldwide. The output voltage can be adjusted from 24 to 28 V with a potentiometer.
Special features include protection against short circuits and overloads, no minimum load required, regulation accuracy which is better than 2% and output noise suppression which corresponds to EN50081-1 (Class B). To increase the output current, parallel operation with more power supplies of the same type is also possible. The units are suitable for battery charging because of the adjustable output voltage (end-of-charge voltage) with different discharge protections (adhere to the battery data). Simple protection of the primary voltage is possible using 10 A, Type B circuit breakers.
The high efficiency of 89 to 92,5% guarantees a low loss of power as heat depending on the power supplies.
