Connectors for arduos welding environments

The Micro-Change M12 connectors from Brad Harrison are suitable for arduous operations such as welding applications.

Designed to meet the exacting standards set with bus systems, the connectors' performance in welding applications is further strengthened with the inclusion of SJTO cable.

The SJTO cable is UL listed and CSA approved and resists damage through weld splatter by the use of a flame retardant, high temperature PVC outer jacket. The outer jacket is combined with a metallic braid to provide additional strength.

Its die-cast, anti-vibration coupling nut has an e-coating, which provides corrosion resistance and resists attack from weld splatter. Tests have shown that weld splatter does not stick to the e-coated coupling nut and allows the connector to be easily removed for maintenance purposes without difficulty or damage.

The connector and SJTO cable combination can also be improved by using Brad Harrison's MPIS splitter box technology. The MPIS splitter boxes are available with top or side-mount variants and they allow fast and simple installation of control wiring. Apart from minimising installation costs, the system can also help to reduce expensive downtime during maintenance operations. Brad Harrison claims an improvement well in excess of 50% when compared to traditional cable installations.
