Erni's range of DIN 41612 crimp contact connectors offers users selectively loaded connectors which may be used individually and also match the Erni mateable wiring transfer system. Available sizes include: Type C (Maximum 96 contacts rows ABC), Type C/2 (Maximum 48 contacts rows ABC), Type E160 (Maximum 160 contacts rows ABCDE). Special versions developed in conjunction with a reputable manufacturer of programmable controllers are: 70 Contacts rows ABCDE, 15 Contacts and 55 Ernipress contacts rows ABCDE.
For mounting on to the front or wiring sides of card frames, connectors are fitted into series KSG173 and KSG193 housings - using Erni's standard range of guide elements and spacers to locate and lock these accurately into position.
Erni's precision dual-sided female contacts ensure constant contact resistance. An additional retaining clip locates and locks contacts in position. Contacts are suitable for wire sizes 28.20 AWG (0,08 to 0,56 mm²) and may be removed easily using a simple removal tool.
For smaller users hand tools are available for contacts supplied loose or in rolls of 500 pieces. Electronically controlled automatic crimping machines have been developed for large users when rolls of 10 000 pieces may be used.
