Mitech's globe control valves are suitable for high-pressure applications and extreme temperature conditions. Locally designed and manufactured, they can be adapted for use with various corrosive fluids and where large pressure drops normally result in noise or cavitation problems.
The piston actuator provides a combination of stiffness, good positioning accuracy, repeatability, controlled high speed, and quick response. Its high working pressure enables a relatively small actuator to shut off against higher fluid pressures than with the equivalent diaphragm type of actuator. Tight shut-off is assured by the self-aligning seat ring and high actuator thrusts, and the open yoke area, top entry actuator and top entry clamped in trim, permit easy access for maintenance.
Various models are available, and the pressure ratings meet ANSI Class 150, 300, 600, 900, 1500 and 2500. The positioner is offered in either pneumatic or electro-pneumatic types and has an air-to-open/air-to-close field reversible action.
