Rhomberg's range of pressure transducers now make it easy to select the right product for any application, including demanding high pressure, high temperature and very low pressure/differential pressure applications. These superior products have been designed and manufactured to comply with rigid DIN standards. The wide range and the right combination of quality materials together with a host of product features, ensure that customer requirements are met with ease.

An important advantage of Rhomberg's pressure transducers is the selection of sensor technology. Thin film sensors incorporating a Wheatstone bridge are suited for most general-purpose applications. Thick film ceramic resistor bridge sensors are used in applications where the effect of vibration has to be countered and where high overpressure ratings are required. Piezo-resistive sensors are appropriate for low-pressure applications. Si-glass sensors are for differential pressure measurement, and optical sensors are used where precision and accuracy of 0,1% and better is required.

All these transducers are available with a variety of electrical enclosures, suitable for any particular environment. The standard electrical enclosure protection offered on the Rhomberg range is IP65 in accordance with DIN EN 60 529/ IEC 529 specifications. However, enclosure protection up to IP68 (fully submersible) is also available, if required. The standard transducer housing material is AISI 304L stainless steel with an AISI 316Ti stainless steel process connection.

Rhomberg also offers industry specific pressure transducers. These include pressure transducers for the dairy industry, submersible pressure transducers for wells and other underwater applications, transducers designed for hygienic applications in the food and beverage industries, thin-film transducers for EExib IIC T6 or T5 (intrinsically safe) hazardous area applications and a unique high pressure transducer with ranges up to 70 MPa for the hydraulic market. Flush-mounted diaphragm sensors are available - these prevent blockage as a result of suspended solids in the process medium.

All of Rhomberg's pressure transducers can be re-calibrated onsite in the case of pressure over-range within specification. This unique feature can lead to substantial cost savings, without having to replace expensive, over-ranged pressure transducers.

Rhomberg believes that its pressure transducers are competitively priced. The company says that a low-cost precision pressure transducer offering 0,1% accuracy, for example, is available at less than 50% of market related prices.
