New range of control valves

May 2000 Flow Measurement & Control

BTR Flow Control SA, the South African representative of Foxboro control valves, has launched the new range of Foxboro control valves in this country. This will complement the range of V-Flow control valves, which the company has been manufacturing locally for a number of years with great success.

BTR Flow Control SA is a wholly owned Invensys plc company and represents the group's flow control products in South Africa. These include products such as Worcester and Argus ball valves, Nordstrom Audco plug valves, Slimseal butterfly valves, Norbro actuators, PMV positioners, Eckardt positioners and Equimeter gas meters, regulators and relief valves.

The Foxboro range of valves is manufactured in Germany and Austria by Schmidt Armaturen and P+W Ventil +Regler Service. Positioners are manufactured by Eckardt in France. The control valve range covers a wide spectrum of applications, from low-pressure clean media, gas and steam to very high-pressure steam and slurries. Both electrical and pneumatic actuators are available.

The range includes:

* Foxpak general-purpose compact globe control valve PN10-40, DN 15-100.

* Foxtop high-performance globe control valves with special trim options, PN 1-40, DN 15-300.

* Foxpro high-performance bellow sealed compact globe control valve PN10/40, DN 15-150, natural low noise with SilentPak option.

* Foxthree three-way compact globe control valve PN10/100, DN 15-300, mixing and diverting options.

* Foxchem PFA lined compact control valves, PN10/16, DN25-100.

* Foxplus high-performance compact globe control valve PN63-160.

* DN 25-300, flanged and welded ends, three-way, angled.

* Foxflex eccentric rotary plug control valve PN16-40, DN 25-400, flanged and wafer style, quick exchange seat ring in various materials, including PTFE, stellite, tungsten-carbide or ceramics.

* ZK valve extremely high-pressure drop, up to 560 bar, low noise, highly wear resistant valves, ideal for HP steam, DN 25-400, PN 63-630.

* A CD-ROM-based sizing and selection program is available to assist with easy selection of the correct valve for each application.
