The IET40 series of transmitters from Temperature Controls is claimed to set new standards for the measurement of conductivity in process measurements. One version measures conductivity over the range of 100 (S/cm to 1000 mS/cm. Temperature is also measured to an accuracy better than 0,20°C
The two measurements are combined within the transmitter and, using Windows 95 software, the 4-20 mA outputs can be configured to measure in percent concentration, temperature, ppm salinity or conductivity. Alternatively, a standard RS485 Modbus interface version provides full access to all of the configurations parameters and measurements on-line.
The IET40 series is characterised by low cost connection cabling, low voltage operation and simple installation. Each unit is protected by IP66 stainless steel enclosures. These transmitters are suitable for the dairy, brewing and food and process industries as they are able to be steam sterilised, up to 1350°C - and they are resistant to thermal shock.
