In conjunction with Nelspruit-based Telmod Projects, Adroit Technologies has recently completed a project to install a Telemachinque Micro 37 PLC with an Adroit system for Parceval, a leading grower and drier of medicinal herbs.
According to Robbie Gass of Parceval, which is located in Wellington, the new system is set to have a dramatic impact on the company's ability to provide world-class products in a controlled and cost-effective manner. "We are now equipped," says Gass, "to run our drying plant throughout the night, if required, while maintaining the level of control necessary to provide products that meet the industry's most stringent quality standards. Although it is not long since implementation, we are already impressed with the system's sophisticated yet extremely user-friendly set-up."
Alistair Dunbar of Telmod Projects, which managed the electrical and mechanical installations, the new in-house system makes outsourcing redundant and Parceval will benefit from having dependable control of the drying process, as well as accurate records of all the temperature trends and settings of every batch they produce."
