Four-port PCI communication cards

The PCI-1610/1612 from Advantech are four-port RS232/422/485 PCI communication cards that are compatible with PCI 2.1 bus specifications. They provide four optional surge protection RS232 (PCI-1610), RS232/422/485 ports (PCI-1612) to meet users' needs. The cards offer high transmission speeds of up to 921,6 Kb/s, four independent RS232/422/485 ports and optional surge protection.

PCI-1610/1612 cards feature high-performance 16PCI954 UARTs with 128 byte FIFO to reduce CPU load. These components give the cards more stability and reliability making them especially suitable for multitasking environments.

The PCI-1610B/1612B offer surge protection technology, protecting the system from abrupt high voltages of up to 2500 V d.c. ICOM tools provide a convenient utility program to help users test the PCI card performance by analysing the port status. ICOM tools act as a PC-based data scope that lets the user set a trigger condition, capture the communication data and monitor the signal status. In addition, these tools are applicable to all of Advantech's ICOM cards.
