Turck now offers the MK33-221ExO-HLi/24 V d.c. - a 2-wire loop isolator designed to energise intrinsically safe 2-wire HART-compatible transducers in a hazardous area and transmit the 4 to 20 mA signal to a nonhazardous area. The isolator features two intrinsically safe analog inputs and two analog outputs.
The device provides double the output of competitive devices without doubling the price. The economical and functional device can also be with 3-wire devices. Other features include LED 'Power on' indication and removable terminals that streamline installation and replacement.
HART protocol, an industry standard, allows end-users to gather accurate digital transducer data used for preventive maintenance and inventory. The digital HART signals use the same two wires as the analog signal. The MK33-221ExO-HLi/24 V d.c. allows this signal to be passed bi-directionally between hazardous and nonhazardous areas.
The unique design of the isolator, which measures just 18 mm wide and consumes a mere 9 mm per channel, features hazardous area circuits which are galvanically isolated from non-hazardous area circuits, eliminating the need to use external grounding. The MK33-221ExO-HLi/24 V d.c. is FM, CENELEC and CSA approved.
