Slimes dam pump remote conrol system

The Maxiflex slimes dam pump remote control system comprises an RTU sited at the pumps on the slimes dam. At the processing plant another Maxiflex RTU has the stop/start pushbutton connected to it. A radio signal is used to communicate with the slimes dam pump RTU because of the distance and difficulty in running cables to the pumps. Digital stop/start controls at the processing plant activate the pumps via the radio link. The pump RTU monitors pump running feedback verifying that the pumps are actually running and this is transmitted via the radio link back to the processing plant operators.

An Omni16C enunciator connected to the RTU provides visual indication to the operators of pump status. The RTUs in this application require no programming at all and are simply configured to transmit data using the Conet/s subscription service. The Omni16C is connected via a Modbus port (instead of hard-wired inputs via a Maxiflex digital output module) on the Maxiflex CPU and is simply driven via query blocks initiated by the processing plant RTU.
