The KSR speed monitor of the Type DAW-D series is an instrument used for monitoring and displaying periodic signals that occur in very many fields of automation and process technology. A very rapid microprocessor can display the input signals in revolutions per minute. The impulse signals are supplied from externally placed solenoid switches having making-contacts. The KSR speed monitor has been developed as a universal instrument monitoring and displaying rotational speed. It can be used to fulfil practically all requirements and functions that arise in connection with the frequently needed special application - speed measurement.
Typical properties include:
* Checking the running and standstill status of one or two shafts or axles.
* Monitoring slippage in couplings and belt drives.
* Checking synchronous operation of two axles or display of different speed in RPM. The maximum values display is 10 000 rpm. The display employs a 4-digit, 7-segment LED display on the front of the instrument.
* Speed monitoring with two limit values, current or voltage output.
* Each limit value relay can be programmed at will across the entire range of rotational speed.
* Freely selectable hysteresis from one to 2000 rpm.
* The switching status of the limit value relays is signalled via a yellow LED on the front of the housing.
