Valvtechnologies' metal-seated ball valves are designed to operate in high temperatures, under high pressures, in erosive environments.
The integral seat design improves performance over conventional replaceable seats. The downstream seat is integral, eliminating leakage, while the upstream seat guide is separate to allow for thermal expansion and smooth flow.
All sealing surfaces are coated with a hard chrome carbide alloy, and diamond lapped for a precision fit. The coating is applied by blasting with a rocket engine at Mach 3 to form a 10 mm layer many times harder than conventional coatings. This hardness, together with temperature ratings to 965°C, make the valves extremely resistant to catalysts, abrasives and corrosives fluids.
The tight shut-off characteristics and protected seat faces make the ball valves particularly suited for use in high pressure steam blow down, drain and vent, coker furnace, catalyst slurry, high density polyethylene and high pressure ethylene applications.
