Phoenix Contact is now offering AS-I input/output modules for connection of sensors/actuators, in both flat and narrow versions with M12, M8 or PG threaded fittings.
The particularly flat F-line modules connect sensors and actuators using M12 plug connectors. Since they allow the profiled AS cables to be run in any direction, this makes flexible installation possible.
The narrow S-line modules especially developed for handling machinery and robot applications are characterised by a particularly space-saving shape, resulting from the M8 plug connectors. Provision of protection class IP 67 and the module's sealed electronics ensure fault-free operation even under severe industrial conditions.
For the P-line modules the sensors and actuators are run through a PG threaded fitting with spring cage connection. M12 and M8 plug connectors are thus eliminated. By using different mounting plates not only can the typical AS-I flat cable be used but the use of standard round cables is also possible. This is an advantage in applications with trailing cables as well as in outside installations.
