In this age of high-tech instrumentation, Meriam manometers have many advantages owing to their inherent accuracy and simplicity. Manometers are unique in being both pressure measurement instruments and standards for calibration of other instruments. Once considered solely a laboratory instrument, the manometer is today commonly used in production applications to measure pressures ranging from as high as 250 mm of mercury to the lowest vacuums of space.

Available from Protea Automation Solutions, Meriam manometers are available in three forms - the U-tube basic and most widely used style, the well-type designed for process monitoring, general purpose testing or laboratory use, and the inclined type which provides greater readability by stretching a vertical differential along an inclined indicating column, thus giving more graduations per unit of vertical height,

The well type may also be used for tank level, flow measurement and leak detection. They are available in a variety of materials suitable for different applications. The glass tubing is yoke packed with vikon gaskets at each end block and is supported at spaced intervals to prevent distortion.
