Monitran's vibration and displacement sensors are used throughout the world in paper manufacturing applications to monitor vibration levels in key areas such as press rollers.
With paper mills typically operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, plant shutdown due to system failures is simply unacceptable and can easily be prevented by the implementation of predictive maintenance routines, using established technologies such as vibration measurement to provide early indications of degradation in plant performance.
Monitran has recently expanded its range of vibration sensors for paper applications with the introduction of the MTN/1100SHC low profile sensor, which is specifically designed for applications where space is limited.
Measuring just 30 mm in height, the new sensor gives a direct AC output and is IP67 rated, with a nominal vibration sensitivity of 100 mV/g at 80 kHz (+10%). A 5 over braided steel cable is standard, with other lengths and options available.
