LSIS S100 is set to be the replacement for the popular iG5A and is packed with size saving technology making it up to 40% smaller and a reduction of side-by-side installation from 50 to 2 mm.
With the upgraded sensorless control, starting torque of 200%/0,5 Hz is produced and provides adequate power for low speed applications.
The flying start function allows for smooth reaction times during power spikes or power failure conditions under load. This is achieved by applying a sensorless smoothing algorithm to estimate the speed, thus allowing for faster reactions to localised incidences that may cause damage.
From 30-75 kW the S100 has a built-in DC reactor which effectively improves the power factor and by moderating the relative intervals to conduction and non-conduction it decreases the THD (total harmonic distortion). Added is the EMC (electromagnetic interference) filter installed as standard in the 3 phase 400 VAC series, which reduces the electrical noise in compliance CE standard certification of 2nd Environment/Category C3 (Class A).
The S100’s auto-tuning function is applied in standstill or rotary tuning, allowing users to tune the drive when running as well as when it is standing still. With auto-tuning, users are able to help the drive discern whether it is connected to a heavy or light duty application. When the motor is tuned, performance is optimised to ensure power and motor saving.
For heavy duty applications the S100 is rated at 150% of current for 60 seconds and normal operations at 120% for 60 seconds.
The S100 is also able to communicate to various fieldbus systems and has as standard, RS-485 with Profibus DP, Ethernet IP, Modbus TCP and CANopen options, thus making it versatile for applications specific systems.
With the new look and design and the functionality of the S100 range of VSDs, LSIS has captured the imagination and attention of many with a well packaged, versatile and fresh approach to the drive industry, positioning the LSIS-S100 to become the preferred drive in the future.
