Errol Pillay, CEO of Afrika Tikkun Services, added that Afrika Tikkun Afrika is based on a cradle-to-career model that supports children from infancy into adulthood and has helped almost 20 000 beneficiaries a year for the last 21 years become more employable, productive and responsible, enhancing their self- efficacy. Simanye Trust, on the other hand, focuses on addressing systemic problems through enterprise development initiatives aimed at developing self-sufficiency.

At the inauguration, guests were also entertained by political analyst, Justice Malala with a thought-provoking presentation entitled ‘Beyond the Noise: South Africa 2016-2026’. This was followed by Rockwell EMEA president, Thomas Donato, who talked about ‘The Connected Enterprise: the Internet of Things’. He said that this is all about increasing the productivity of your assets and doing more with what you have, and Rockwell has generated significant improvement in its own organisation as well as for its key clients.

With a new B-BBEE shareholder and a new centre for its sub-Saharan operations, Rockwell Automation continues to demonstrate its seriousness in fulfilling its social and economic mandate in South Africa.
