Valves, Actuators & Pump Control

Valve testing units from AT Technical Services

August 2015 Valves, Actuators & Pump Control

AT Technical Services’ test equipment delivers test capability for the integrity and performance of any gate, globe, plug, ball, check, slide, or butterfly valve with flange, thread or weld connections in the range ¼ – 120" (DN6 – 3000 mm).

The shut-off valve test units are capable of manual or fully automated testing for body and seat leakage with re-circulating liquid test systems 0-2000 bar and gas test systems 0-1000 bar.

The vertical operating test unit ‘VCB’ is complete with a heavily constructed clamping system for quick and easy positioning and clamping of all common shut-off valves in the vertical position (valve stem horizontal).

The universal rig is well designed and equipped for use in the valve repair shop, or for smaller series testing. The standard VCB is equipped with sealing adaptors for DIN/ANSI RF flanges, but is also prepared for use with ‘inner seal’ adaptors for valves with butt or socket weld ends. The VCB Clamping system can be used for:

• Clamping on the inlet flange only: The flanged valve is clamped on the inlet flange only, keeping the outlet fully open for visual inspection and location of any seat leakage.

• Clamping between the clamping tables: The valve is clamped between two clamping tables for both body and seat testing. This method is also applied for clamping and testing valves with butt weld, socket weld or threaded ends.

Special VCBs

Smaller, bigger or special applications are available on request. Optional features include:

• Windows operated computer registrations system.

• Vacuum quick filling system, electronically controlled.

• Test- and operation systems for actuators.

• Digital seat leakage measuring systems for gas and liquid.

• Torque test and measuring system (up to 500 000 Nm).

• Full surround safety closure.
