Elen Enclosures has added enhanced depth and height options to its popular range of floor-standing Series PLA polyester enclosures by Schneider Electric. Previously the depths of the PLA range were twofold, namely 320 mm or 420 mm options for each enclosure size.
Now five new sizes have been added with a depth of 620 mm. The new sizes are: 750x750x620 mm; 1250x750x620 mm; 1250x1250x620 mm; 1500x750x620 mm; and 1500x1250x620 mm. These enclosures are ideally suited to control applications in the field such as remote I/O stations, but now with extra depth they can accommodate deeper equipment including VSDs and 48 cm rack equipment. Fixed and swing 48 cm racks are also available. Previously the maximum height of PLA enclosures was 1500 mm, but now there is a polyester enclosure available with a height of 2 metres. Overall dimensions of this new enclosure are 2000x750x420 mm.
The PLA range is made of high-pressure, high-temperature moulded glass fibre reinforced polyester (GRP) and has an IP65 protection rating, making it ideal for corrosive industrial environments. The size range starts at 500x500x320 mm, with heights and widths increasing in 250 mm increments. The enclosures can be wall-mounted or floor-standing on a plinth. Other accessories for PLA include galvanised chassis plates, perforated chassis plates, roof canopies, distribution board chassis and internal doors. The enclosures are ideal for the petrochemical, paper, sugar, chemical and mining industries.
