Schneider Electric showcased the electric powered BMW i3 at its prestigious Xperience Efficiency event held at the Birchwood Conference Centre during August.
The BMW i3 is the world’s first premium car conceived from the ground up to deliver electric mobility and emission-free driving in urban areas. It features a passenger cell made from carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic and BMW eDrive technology that enables it to be driven on electric power alone with a range of 130 to 160 kilometres. Charging can be done at home or work via the BMW i Wallbox Pure, a specially developed home charging unit.
