The new iWAP107 system from Extronics allows the latest MIMO access points from market leaders such as Cisco and Aruba to be easily deployed in Zone 1 hazardous areas, improving wireless performance and reliability. The system employs Extronics’ unique iSolate500 RF galvanic isolators which make all RF outputs intrinsically safe. This allows standard non-certified antennas to be used greatly reducing cost whilst providing significant performance gains. Deployment and maintenance costs are also substantially reduced with simple antenna connection – no glands required.
