Omniflex has recently released Omniset, which is a Windows-based utility that allows Omni8/16C users to configure their annunciators via a user-friendly interface. Besides using the DIPswitches, users can now set up the entire Omni16 from their PCs via a serial port cable. All the options that users wanted easy access to are now readily accessible - individual timers, split, first-out groups, selection of group alarm members, multiple group alarms and selection of repeat status, etc.
Every Omni8/16C annunciator has a jack plug on the rear for serial communications, which when connected to a PC will allow the user to use Omniset to do the configuration. Comprehensive help and the windows pull-down menus make the set-up a pleasure. The Omniset software may be downloaded from www.omniflex.com
