NewElec’s PMPT technology is ideal for the production of customised plastic electronic housings using computer-controlled manufacturing equipment. The process is quick, flexible and cost-effective without the need for tools or moulds. Prototyping and small to medium runs are all possible. The technical consultant is in regular contact with the customer to ensure that any alterations in the design can be implemented immediately, resulting in an optimal time- and cost-saving design.
The basis of the production is the specially developed Planar Modular Production Technology (PMPT). With specially developed machines and software, plastic sheets (ABS, PS, acrylic) are machined and chemically welded. NewElec creates all housing elements for these exclusively milled components, including holes, slits, push-outs, depressions, keypads and fasteners.
Toolless technology compares favourably with injection moulded parts in appearance, finishing and durability, with a minimal non-recurring engineering charge. With PMPT, there is no need for a new mould as NewElec’s in-house engineers are able to modify the part quickly with minimal cost.
