Safe solution for removing valve nozzles

AT Technical Services has added the V-TEC NR 10 PSV workstation to its extensive range of valve repair and testing products. This workstation is the complete solution for safe and efficient assembly and disassembly of pressure safety valves (PSVs). It consists of a ridged base structure with a three-jaw chuck for clamping a PSV onto the inlet nozzle.
With the retaining arms folded away in the base structure, the operator has full surrounding access for assembling, disassembling and inspection of the PSV. The back-breaking use of long pipe ends for screwing or unscrewing the nozzle is no longer needed with the high torque drive system connected to the chuck. When the valve bonnet, spring and valve trim have been removed, the arms can be rotated and fixed in a vertical position. The retaining beam holds the valve in position while the nozzle is being screwed in or out of the valve body. The bi-directional drive system is completed with a foot-operated switch and digital controls for adjusting the torque setting for small and larger PSVs.
