Industrial power supply for bay lighting applications

Mean Well has introduced its new series of power supply for bay lighting applications. HBG-160 series (160 W), the first circular shape power unit in the LED product line, fits easily into the mechanical structure of high/low bay lighting fixtures. Fully potted, the aluminium enclosure can be tightly assembled to the heat sink of lighting fixtures to provide excellent heat dissipation capability. Featuring 90-305 VAC input range and 24-60 VDC single output, HBG-160 series is designed using the latest topology for 93,5% efficiency cooled only by free air convection from -40 to 60°C ambient temperature range.
Built-in PFC functionality complies with harmonic current limitation per EN61000-3-2 Class C. It also provides PF > 0,9 when loading is over 50% and provides 4 kV surge immunity which complies with the requirements of lighting applications. Suitable for different installation alternatives such as chain type, hanger type, or metal frame type, HBG-160 series can be installed with LED modules, heat-sink modules and lampshades to fulfil the various requirements of lighting fixtures. Suitable applications include LED high/low bay lighting, stage lighting, LED spot lighting and other outdoor architectural lighting systems.
