Reliable earth leakage protection

Electrical Power & Protection
NewElec’s GA earth leakage relays offer a reliable and stable form of earth leakage protection for use on DOL, VSDs or any soft starter. The GA relay is particularly suitable in applications involving large kW motors where it does not sacrifice earth leakage sensitivity or trip delay rapidity.
It is available in diverse configuration options, including latched or non-latching main trip contact, fail-safe or non fail-safe options, as well as 110 V/220 V or 380 V/525 VAC auxiliary supply voltages. Two models are offered: the GA with a standard 74 mm x 134 mm cut-out; and the GA-ELX with an adaptor plate to fit a 71 mm x 94 mm cut-out.
A latched contactor trip changeover contact can only be reset by pressing the control panel mounted pushbutton. Sensitivities range from 30 mA to 1000 mA, with user-selectable instantaneous or IDMT curve selection while using the same earth leakage core. GA relays provide harmonic suppression and isolation to IEC 255-5 App A. The trip contact current rating is 6 A at 220 V and 3 A at 525 V AC.
