Flowmeter measurement for difficult flows

With certain types of media, flow measurement can be 'noisy' or difficult. Solids or additives can generate unacceptably high process signal noise, which makes accurate measurement impossible. In a manufacturing process this can have a serious affect on throughput, and profitability.
The Foxboro I/A Series MagEXPERT magnetic flow transmitter, available from Protea Automation Solutions, is designed to tune up the most challenging measurements in a plant or mill. Using ex-Pulse technology it combines all the ease and reliability of a traditional AC meter with the accuracy that an intelligent DC meter may attempt to achieve. Even for the noisiest process, the MagEXPERT will convert the excessive 'bumps' of an average output signal to a relatively smooth output signal, as demonstrated by Foxboro and customers alike.
The flowmeter is particularly suited for applications involving chemical additives, high-consistency flows and slurries. It has on-line, intelligent diagnostic/help capability, is set up with simple, menu-driven configuration of software, and is compatible with existing flowmeter systems.
