Emission monitoring from Teledyne

November 2012 Analytical Instrumentation & Environmental Monitoring

C&M Consulting Engineers has introduced the Teledyne Monitor Labs flow and particulate monitoring systems to its range of continuous emission monitoring equipment.

Teledyne Monitor Labs offers state of the art continuous emission monitoring (CEM) technologies to CEM users. The range of opacity and dust monitors was the first to use a patented light emitting diode as the source.

Ultraflow 150

Building on the successful performance of the UltraFlow 100, the new UltraFlow 150 was designed to improve system accuracy, reliability and availability, while simplifying maintenance and user ability. The UltraFlow 150 has proven to be one of the most reliable, drift-free ways to monitor stack flow for mass emission based monitoring. State of the art signal processing and innovative modularity offers customers performance, accuracy, flexibility and a maintenance-free solution among all flow technologies. The instrument offers outstanding benefits, including:

* Non-intrusive probe design mitigates corrosion, erosion and agglomeration of the transducers for uninterrupted operation and reliability.

* Flow measurement is intrinsically independent of flue gas composition, pressure, temperature and viscosity thereby eliminating continual corrections to flow equations.

* Long-path average measurement methodology for superior accuracy versus single point systems like pitot tubes and thermal flow systems.

* Ultra-low drift operation eliminates the hassles of continual calibration.

* Full system calibration checks ensure system integrity.

* Measurement technique intrinsically rejects cyclonic flow to eliminate bias.

* Advanced signal processing and affordable x-pattern configuration rejects pitch effects.

LaserHawk 360

The LaserHawk was designed to comply with the performance specification for continuous particulate monitors. A complete system includes an optical head, purge system, enhanced remote panel fulfilling all QA/QC requirements. The optical head is built of heavy gauge aluminum parts and finished with acid-resistant enamel paint. All exposed hardware is stainless steel. The rugged design and extremely low heat generation allows operation over a wide range of ambient temperatures. It is built to withstand the typical hostile environment associated with outdoor industrial applications, including substantial shock and vibration. Features include:

* An enhanced remote panel.

* Ease of calibration.

* The rugged design and extremely low heat generation allows operation over a wide range of ambient temperatures.

* Electronically modulated, intensity controlled solid state laser beam ensures unusually stable operation.

* Easily detachable optical head.

* Compact design can be mounted using a single mounting port.
