A new software package that enables its users to view scale information in Microsoft Excel, combining it with other business data and presenting a finished report, without the need for any programming. This was the goal Streamworks had in mind when developing its new Windows-based Scale Management System (SMS) - designed for use with automatic weighing scales.
This innovative software performs a number of key functions that include, but are not limited to:
* Display of process information.
* Full control of scales.
* Reporting.
* Communication with other applications.
* Easy integration to networks and Internet.
This dynamic software can monitor the throughput of scales in a mill and in turn show information in realtime on an operator workstation. In addition to scale totals, the system can also show calculated information such as extraction data.
The software is able to be in command of all the scales it communicates with. The control features include starting and stopping of scales, controlling the rate and setting fill, in addition to setting discharge cut-off points.
The product is also able to write all the scale data to a database from where the data can be used to generate standard reports such as shift and daily and weekly totals. In addition users can extract the information in the database for their own user-generated reports, or for other purposes. Since the Scale Management System is a Windows-based application and because it uses all the latest Microsoft technology, the software supports complete networking functionality, allowing the user data to be viewed across an office network or over the Internet.
The Scale Management System uses standard Microsoft technology, which means that the software allows the user to easily share the information with a wide range of other applications.
