The Monitran model MTN/VM110 is an ideal entry level vibration meter that is compact, lightweight, portable and designed to operate with a constant current type accelerometer to make vibration measurements simple and convenient.
Vibration analysis is one of the most effective methods of monitoring performance of rotating machinery such as fans, pumps and compressors throughout a plant. Regular monitoring allows for maintenance routines to be planned effectively with minimal disruption to production.
The VM vibration meter is a complete, ready to use unit that can measure acceleration, velocity or displacement in three ranges. The system comprises a meter and a handheld probe with attachable spike or magnetic mount, all contained in a protective case.
Peak or RMS values can be selected and a low pass filter is also included for removing unwanted signals. An AC output via a ‘D’ type socket allows the connection of additional filters or a signal analyser. A DC output is provided to drive a chart recorder.
The Monitran VM110 takes three readings per seconds, displayed on the 3½ digit LCD display. There is also a ‘battery low’ warning indicator.
