Patch cable with surge protection

DEHN’s DEHNpatch DPA M CAT6 is a patch cable with built-in surge protection for use in Category 6 cabling systems. It fulfils the requirements of Category 6 of ISO/IEC 118001 and offers protection to EN 60715 for up to 48 V.
It is ideally suited for applications in offices and industry such as Gigabit Ethernet, ATM or ISDN as well as Voice over IP and Power Over Ethernet systems. It can be used in both shielded and unshielded networks. The width corresponds to that of an RJ45 socket outlet, allowing up to 24 devices to be installed and integrated in a 19 inch rack.
The unit is equally suited for use in new installations or retrofitting into existing installations. Installation involves simply plugging the DEHNpatch between the patch panel and the active component instead of the conventional patch cable.
A supporting foot is designed for DIN rail mounting, and provides safe earthing. For single applications, a piece of DIN rail with a fixing device is included as standard. DEHNpatch is supplied with a standard cable length of 3 m, but other lengths can be provided on request.
