Single-pole surge arrestors

The new DEHNguard S VA single-pole, pluggable varistor and spark-gap-based surge arresters are designed for general purpose use in LV installations. They are also suitable for protecting power line communications and signal lines in railway systems.
The all-purpose surge arresters consist of a base part and plug-in protection module of narrow design in accordance with DIN 43880. Multifunction terminals allow flexibility of connection to other DIN rail mounted devices on the distribution board with high reliability guaranteed by a thermo dynamic control SPD monitoring device to ensure the arresters enter a safe isolated state even in the case of extreme overload.
Energy coordinated within DEHN’s Red Line product family, the module has a locking system that fixes the base part of the device firmly in place. Neither vibration during transport nor the electromagnetic forces under discharge loosen the protection modules. The arresters can be replaced easily and without tools via the user-friendly module release button.
