Erni has extended the established Bus-Interface connector family with its Erbic Profibus Switch. The ERbic Profibus switch allows flexible design of Profibus systems and trouble-free system extension.
Its key feature is the external switch that turns the termination on and off. In a network extension, the appropriate active termination connector can easily be switched to a node connector without terminating the system. Additionally, while troubleshooting the network, the appropriate node connector can be terminated and separated from adjacent network participants. This allows the remaining system to continue operation without disruption.
The device (Part Number: 134728) is suitable for use at data rates up to 12 Mbps, through integrated SMT Inductors. A version with a troubleshooting/servicing D-Sub is available upon request.
