Comtest has launched the latest addition to the Fluke voltage tester family, the 2AC II VoltAlert. This is a pocket sized, non-contact, AC voltage tester designed specifically for maintenance managers, rescue communications for confined space (Rescom), service and industrial electricians, HVAC technicians, homeowners and hobbyists. The technician touches the tip to a terminal strip, outlet, or cord and the red glowing tip of the voltage tester indicates voltage in the line. Voltage detection is from 200 to 1000 V AC (European version) and 90 to 1000 V AC (US version) and it is suitable for a wide range of residential, commercial and industrial needs. Special low power circuitry maintains the battery life. The innovative ‘Battery Check’ button function ensures the battery is in good condition. It is a Category IV – 1000 V overvoltage rated product for best in class user protection.
